Whether you’re travelling from within Malaysia or overseas, getting to the Peninsular Divide start line is straightforward. Below are the recommended travel options by air, land and sea.
By Air
For international participants, flying is the fastest and most convenient option.
Option 1 — Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) Recommended for International Riders
Singapore Changi Airport offers the widest range of international flights from Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.
After arriving:
- Clear Singapore Immigration.
- Travel by taxi, private transfer or bus to Johor via the Woodlands or Tuas checkpoints.
- Continue to Pengerang by rental car, taxi or private transfer.
Estimated travel time
- Changi Airport → Pengerang
- Approximately 2–3 hours depending on border traffic.

Option 2 — Senai International Airport (JHB)
The closest airport to the race start.
Domestic flights are available from:
- Kuala Lumpur
- Penang
- Kota Kinabalu
- Kuching
International connections are also available from selected regional destinations.
From Senai Airport:
- Rent a car (recommended)
- Taxi or e-hailing
- Private transfer
Travel time
Approximately 60–90 minutes to Pengerang via the Senai–Desaru Expressway.
Option 3 — Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL)
Ideal if your country does not have direct flights into Johor or Singapore.
After landing you can:
- Take a domestic flight to Senai Airport
- Rent a car
- Take an express bus to Johor Bahru
- Travel by train to Johor Bahru before continuing to Pengerang
Driving from Kuala Lumpur to Pengerang takes approximately 4–5 hours.
By Land
Driving
Driving is the easiest way to reach the race venue.

Bus
Travelling by bus is a convenient and budget-friendly option for riders coming from Kuala Lumpur.
Direct Bus Service
There is currently one direct bus service to the start area:

Destination: Sungai Rengit, Johor
From Sungai Rengit Bus Terminal, the race venue at Nelayan Beach Resort is only a few kilometres away. You can easily reach the resort by taxi, e-hailing service, or a short ride if your bicycle is already assembled.
Travelling with Your Bicycle
If you plan to travel by bus with your bike, please note:
- Large bicycle boxes are not permitted on board.
- A fully assembled bicycle can usually be stored in the luggage compartment beneath the bus, subject to available space.
- We recommend removing or turning the handlebars, removing pedals if necessary, and securing any loose components to minimise the risk of damage during transport.
- Protect delicate parts such as the rear derailleur and brake rotors with padding where possible.
As luggage policies may change, we recommend contacting the bus operator before travelling to confirm their latest bicycle carriage policy.

By Sea
Several ferry services operate between Singapore and Johor.
Depending on schedules during race week, riders may arrive via:
- Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Singapore
- Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal, Pengerang, Johor
